At a Queens Food Festival, Taste NYC’s Culture

For a unique way to get to know the city, try hopping your way around the various Queens food festivals happening this spring and summer. From beer and cheese to Jamaican jerk and dessert, plus everything in between, you simply must attend at least one.

Food Fests and Street Fairs in NYC

There’s something for everyone at the food events coming up in New York City.

Bacon and Beer Classic

Take a big bite out of unlimited craft beer and bacon, including bacon-centric dishes from local restaurants and brews from regional outfits. Play lawn games like giant Jenga or enter in the bacon-eating contest. It’s all happening at this fest held right on Citi Field.

Cheesemonger Invitational

Selling cheese is an art, and cheesemongers have it down to a science. The Cheesemonger Invitational, set for June 24, is where those skilled at cheese selling, cutting, wrapping, and blind tasting display their talents.

Queens Night Market

Shop local and independent purveyors of everything from crafts to food and art at the Queens Night Market on April 22. This open-air market also features small group performances from various cultures.

Jamaican Jerk Festival

For spicy food and spicier music and dancing, attend this festival that celebrates Caribbean culture. Attend on July 24 to feel the heat. There will even be a Kids’ Zone, arts & crafts vendors, and cooking exhibitions.

Queens Taste

Attend Queens Taste on May 2 to sample and savor food from over 60 food, beverage, and dessert aficionados. Your admission includes all-you-can-eat samples and drinks.
