Things to Do in Queens This Easter: Backyard Egg Hunt
The Backyard Egg Hunt will be held at Queens County Farm on April 15.
This spot isn’t just a farm, though — it’s also a museum that preserves New York State’s oldest continuously farmed plot of land. In fact, these 47 acres date all the way back to 1697.
While on the farm, you’ll see historic buildings, greenhouses, farm animals, an orchard, an herb garden, planting fields, and more.
The Egg Hunt isn’t the only activity to enjoy on the farm. During this event, not only can kids hunt for Easter eggs in the orchard, they can also find Whiskers the Bunny for a photo, participate in old-fashioned games like egg-rolling and egg-tossing, visit with farm animals, and hop on a hayride or pony ride.
Food vendors will also be located throughout the farm in case you need a cold drink or a snack.
Tickets for this event are being sold in a limited quantity, and will not be available to purchase at the door. Buy yours in advance online to partake in this fun day.
